January Couple of the Month

We're kicking off 2018 with Dara and Doug as our January Couple of the Month!  Dara and Doug's special day was filled with pure magic!!  From the exhilarating first sword fight to the breathtaking first dance (complete with stunning lifts), it was clear that the love Dara and Doug share is joyful and everlasting.  Friends and family witnessed a touching ceremony and then proceeded to celebrate with the couple at Saratoga National Golf Club.  It was a day full of love and laughter which we were honored to be a part of it!

Dara and Doug had this to say about their Bisou experience:

Working with Sarah Fichtman and the Bisou Weddings team was a dream from our first phone call. We chatted for an hour, and we knew immediately that, through working together, we would create a wedding that reflected our traditions, values, and identity as a couple. We also understood very quickly that there was no problem or situation that would frighten Sarah: our initial idea of serving our wedding dinner family style with 180 guests changing seats - as would have been printed on their place cards-in between each course. Sarah didn’t even blink, but gave us an enthusiastic and genuine, “Let’s try it!” The seat-rotation idea was eventually scrapped, but the spirit of creativity and ingenuity continued to permeate all elements of our wedding experience. Sarah’s authentic excitement, creativity, and joy only grew throughout our time working together, and our wedding could not have been as magical as it was without her spectacular team. Now, we have cherished memories of a joyous process and an enchanted wedding weekend, with the added benefit of a wonderful friend for life.

August Couple of the Month

This August we're highlighting Alexis and Chris as our Bisou couple of the month!  This wedding was full of fun personal touches from fun fact napkins to an adorable cake topper.  Alexis and Chris had a beautiful ceremony held at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church with their family and friends in attendance. After a breathtaking photo shoot with the wedding party at Yaddo Gardens, everyone headed to Saratoga Polo to celebrate the newly weds!  All in all it was an incredibly fun summer wedding and we are thrilled to feature Alexis and Chris!

Alexis and Chris had this to say about their Bisou experience:

Guests told us that I was one of the happiest brides they have ever seen and that is definitely because of Sarah and her team at Bisou. Thanks to Sarah’s amazing organizational skills our day ran extremely smoothly and even ahead of schedule; even our priest said he never had a rehearsal run as smooth as ours. It is because of her wonderful personality and organizational skills that vendors love working with her and this definitely helped us have amazing vendors and an amazing day. So many guests commented on how wonderful Sarah and her team were and that she definitely changed their perceptions on wedding planners. We could not imagine our wedding without Sarah and Bisou!

June Couple of the Month

This June we are reminiscing over Nora and Joe's stunning Fall wedding. The bride and groom sparkled through the rain of the day. We loved Nora's elegant a-line dress with a lace bust and silky off-white skirt, with a ribbon accentuating her waist. She looked euphoric, sophisticated, and purely over-the-moon! Accents of yellow, orange, and plum accompanied the beautiful ceremony and reception.

Nora and Joe had this to say about working with the Bisou team:

I am not sure where to begin. My husband and I went back and forth on whether or not we needed a wedding planner and I managed to win the debate. A colleague had recommended Sarah so I reached out and from the moment I spoke to her on the phone, I felt a sense of ease. I knew Sarah and her team were top notch just from our initial phone call.

Sarah and I met in person a few weeks before the wedding and she made me feel so comfortable - it felt like I was getting coffee with a friend. I shared our vision for the day with Sarah and left our meeting knowing she would help make it happen. Sarah was on top of reaching out to all of our vendors to create a timeline and plan for the weekend.

Sarah came to our rehearsal and in that moment, I put all trust into Sarah for the rest of the weekend. She knew our plans inside and out and was so friendly to our wedding party, family, and friends who were a part of the mass.

And then came the wedding....I wish I could sum into words the calmness I felt when Sarah arrived. It was pouring rain outside but she came in like a ray of sunshine. Sarah kept us on schedule and helped all of my bridesmaids off the bus with her umbrella so they did not get wet and made sure we were all smiling despite the sideways rain and high winds. While we were at the church, Sarah’s assistant Maria was at the venue making sure everything was setup properly and everything was exactly where we wanted it to be.

Sarah and Maria were there if any of us needed anything that night and I honestly feel like we had the best day ever because of them. By the end of the night, they felt like family. They went above and beyond in every detail and I plan on recommending them to anyone I know. If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, I would highly suggest working with Sarah and her team....I promise you it is worth it.

The next day, Joe said that hiring Sarah was the best decision we made besides getting married so I think that says it all!

December Couple of the Month

With another new month, comes another new highlight. This December, we think back to the warm days of summer by celebrating Sarah and Mike's simple and rustic, yet chic, private farm wedding! Sarah and Mike said vows between two large trees beside a beautiful large pond with all of their family and friends in attendance. Guests were then invited to follow the signs around the edge of the pond to where a breathtaking cocktail hour took place. Followed by a night of non-stop dancing led by a live band in the large barn on top of the hill. Even the sheep, pigs, and horses came out to see what all the excitement was about!

Sarah and Mike had this to say about working with the Bisou team:

Working with Bisou was one of the best wedding decisions we made! Planning a New York wedding from California was a little difficult, but Sarah was so wonderful to work with and made everything seem easier and more manageable. We had skype meetings approximately once a month, and sent countless emails back and forth about all types of details. I had no idea what I was doing and went to Sarah for her advice on just about everything. She was incredibly helpful and responsive, and really helped us figure out what we wanted the most and how to make it happen. She provided so much support to us during the entire planning process, making us feel like we were on the right track schedule-wise and keeping us on top of everything else. She helped us get some amazing vendors and really made our vision of our ideal wedding come to life. Sarah handled the vendors and the day-of coordination flawlessly, and took so much stress off of our plates. Sarah was also such a delight to have around during our wedding day. We hadn’t met in person before, but from the second she showed up it felt like she was an old (very capable) friend. I’ve gotten so many comments from our friends and family about how great she was. Most things in the wedding world feel like they aren’t worth what you’re paying, but Bisou was worth it ten times over, maybe twenty. We are SO happy that we worked with Bisou - thank you for making our wedding day the funnest and happiest of our lives!

September Couple of the Month

This month we say goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall by highlighting Cameron and Brian's picture-perfect wedding at Saratoga National Golf Club  in Saratoga Springs, NY. Their wedding was out of a fairytale, and despite the rain, Cameron and Brian along with their family and loved ones had the time of their lives. The stunning fuchsia bridesmaid dresses were perfectly accented by the muted and warm florals. The venue's incredible views and soft overcast lighting made for some picture perfect weather, and we managed to have clear skies long enough to capture some gorgeous outdoor portraits. This wedding was one for the books, and we loved every moment spent with this couple and their incredible families.

Cameron and Brian had this to say about working with the Bisou team:

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Bisou. Sarah and her team is professional, well prepared for everything, and a collection of warm and friendly faces that want nothing more than to help. More than anything, I was so happy with how the day of details came together so nicely. Nothing was missed. Sarah was amazing at anticipating the needs of everyone around her, including my bridal party and other vendors. She had Advil when I had a headache and a safety pin for one of my bridesmaids when her button came undone. All of the small details that make up a wedding could not have come together like they did without Sarah and Bisou. I would recommend Bisou to anyone in the area that needs a wedding coordinator! She is the BEST!
